We only sell lamps that perform to the projector manufacturers' original specification. We do not sell copy lamps, branded or otherwise, that lowers the projectors' performance level and risks your health and safety.
As supplied by the original projector manufacturer, this lamp typically uses a bulb supplied to them by one of the major bulb manufacturers, Philips, Osram, Ushio, Phoenix, Iwasaki or Matsushita.
We do not supply any kind of imitation lamp that uses a different bulb. Independent tests have shown that these units underperform versus the above options and often prove to be a false economy due to their poor build quality, poor lifetime and poor brightness. We do not want to compromise your reputation with your customer.
We provide 90 days warranty from date of purchase or the manufacturer's warranty, whichever is longer. (Please confirm warranty coverage at the time of your purchase).
We cover the cost of insurance in full until you sign for the goods. If you have any concerns about the condition of the product received, please sign for them as un-inspected, inspect the goods immediately and contact us within 24 hours of receipt if there are any breakages.
Returns must be shipped freight pre-paid and must be insured for the full value. If we arrange to collect, we will cover this.
All pricing is subject to change. Reflections AV reserves the right to make adjustments due to changing market conditions, product discontinuation, manufacturer price changes, errors in advertisements, exchange rate fluctuations and other extenuating circumstances. In the event Reflections AV determines an adjustment is necessary, we will contact you regarding the changes and ask for your approval before we complete your order. Reflections AV reserves the right to cancel the sale without incurring any liability.
Reflections AV provides an unprecedented 90 day warranty on all lamps for any brand for faults due to defective materials or workmanship. The warranty commences from the day of despatch from Reflections AV and is extended if the manufacturer's warrant is longer than 90 days.
Once an RMA number is given it remains valid for 10 business days (two weeks). If the lamps are not received in that time, the RMA will be closed and a new one initiated.
Breakages must be reported within three working days of receipt to enable us to claim with our carriers. Unfortunately, any claim outside of this period cannot be supported.
If you have ordered the wrong item by mistake or your customer no longer requires the lamp, in most cases we will take the lamp back subject to a restocking fee. As long as the lamps come back in perfect condition, this fee is 25% of the price you paid, unless we advised you at the time of purchase that it was a special purchase item and could not be returned.
If an item does not work or stops working by what appears to be a product defect, please use the returns system to get the lamp back to us.
We will then determine the fault with the relevant manufacturer and credit the lamp in full if applicable.
If a replacement is required ahead of the unit being assessed, please place a new order.
We work hard to ensure the right product is shipped to you but in the event that an incorrect item is shipped we will credit the lamp in full once returned. Please consult with our sales team before ordering a replacement to ensure that we do not repeat the error.
Please note that in all circumstances a Return Merchandise Authorisation (R.M.A.) number must be obtained before shipping the product back to us. Products must be returned in their original packaging, which must not be defaced in any way, consequently, we recommend that they should be shipped inside extra packaging. Unfortunately, because it will limit our ability to resell the lamp module, if these conditions are not adhered to, we reserve the right to levy an increased restocking charge or reject the goods.
Never touch the bulb with your fingers, always use a cloth for handling.
Any glass components of a lamp should never be handled without gloves; deposits from fingerprints cause temperature 'hot spots'. In the long term, the accompanying temperature gradient stresses the glass resulting in early failure.
Clean the air filters of the projector. Blocked filters make the lamp overheat and fail early. Manufacturers can test for this kind of failure and any warranty becomes invalid. Always ensure that there is good airflow around the projector.
If you are fitting a bulb into an existing module housing, ensure the terminals are not over tightened as the ceramic can be cracked and reduce the electronic insulation of the lamp. Alternatively, if they are under tightened, it can cause arcing on the terminal which puts undue load on the ballast that can then lead to a failure.
For plug in bulbs, be sure the lamps are seated completely. The tendency is to stop at the first sign of resistance. Continue to apply force at the base of the lamp until you are sure the lamp is secure.
Always switch off using the remote control and not by disconnecting the power, the projector will invariably go into a cool down mode where the image is turned off and the fan accelerates to cool the lamp in a controlled manner. The temperature of an operating lamp is many 1,000's of degrees. Disconnecting the power to the projector prior to the above process causes the glass in the lamp to cool unevenly and will result in a stress fracture and early lamp failure.
Lamp failure can be due to mechanical shock. A hot lamp filament is very fragile, you should always make sure that the unit is turned off and the lamp is cool before moving the unit.
If your projector is equipped with a "high/low lamp" switch you can extend your average lamp life by using the "low lamp" position whenever possible.
